The East Coast Learning Journey happens every year. The 8th graders will go in the Spring of 2022. In the past, the students have visited Yorktown, Jamestown, D.C., Gettysburg, Philly, New York, Mystic, Connecticut, and Williamsburg. It is truly a life-changing experience for these kids. Mrs. Wurst shared that “unfortunately, there are a lot of people who do not know where a lot of these places are, and this trip makes history come alive for these kids.” This year, the students will travel to Florida to focus on the establishment of the Catholic Faith in North America, Spanish Colonization, STEM labs and lessons about Ecology and Endangered Species. The Learning Journey, however, is expensive and students have to fundraise to be able to go.
