Lisa Zamora has been in education for 15 years. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Loyola Marymount University in Westchester, CA and pursued her Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California (USC). Her dissertation focused on Effective Leadership Practices of Catholic School Principals. Once finalizing her dissertation she was able to put it to use by becoming an administrator of Our Lady of the Valley School in Canoga Park, CA. As principal of Our Lady of the Valley she brought up morale, increased enrollment and began incorporating best practices for 21st century learning and headed WASC Accreditation committees being a key component in the role of what schools needed and validating what they should be commended for. She has been a strong advocate for leading a school in a professional manner, working to minimize and settle issues that deal with family problems and general day to day operations. Previous to being an administrator she taught grades 4th-8th at Our Lady of Loretto Elementary and St. Frances Xavier Cabrini. She was essential to being a Testing Coordinator, Academic Decathlon Coach / Volleyball instructor and Student Council Moderator. She understands teachers and does look at various scenarios through the administrative lens that helps guide the school through a common vision that benefits the majority of the school community. In July 9th of 2015 she married Dr. Miguel Alejandro Solis, also a graduate of USC and in the following year they welcomed baby Noah Michael Solis into their life on July 13th 2016. Both Dr. Zamora and Dr. Solis have moved to Maui to provide their expertise on what they can share to the island. They have both found a great opportunity work in a historic school (Sacred Hearts School in Lahaina) and with fantastic families, students, teachers and parishioners.
