Maui Sacred Hearts School Funding from Lahaina Ashes

Our beloved Sacred Hearts School in Lahaina, Hawaii on the island of Maui was struck by a devastating fire that has left our campus in ruins and our community with a great loss.  The flames destroyed our physical structures, but they cannot extinguish the Holy Spirit in us and our strong will to rebuild and rescue the students of the Lahaina community.
Sacred Hearts School has been a cornerstone of our community for over 150 years, nurturing generations of young minds and fostering a sense of unity and growth.  The fire has left us with the tasks of providing local, quality education for the Lahaina community (Scholarship), creating a short term facility to educate our students (Transition) and, ultimately, rebuilding our campus next to our Maria Lanakila  Church (Rebuild), that was, miraculously, one of the only structures in downtown Lahaina without ANY damage from the fire.
We humbly ask you to assist in  supporting our school community as we rise from the ashes of Lahaina.  Please choose your desired donation intent by adding a comment in your donation or a memo on your check:
“Scholarship” will help a family place their child in our school, many families have lost their homes, their cars, their possessions and their jobs.
“Transition” will help Sacred Hearts School pay the lease on property just outside Lahaina and transition structures to classrooms.  This helps avoid students being bussed one and a half hours each way, each day to the other side of the island.
“Rebuild” will create a fund for the ultimate rebuild of our campus in downtown Lahaina next to the Maria Lanakila Church.  Help us be a shining example for the Lahaina community.
Checks payable to: Hawaii Catholic Foundation, can be sent to P.O. Box 1450, Kihei, HI  96753, Please add Sacred Hearts Relief Fund in your memo.
